Our Core Issues
The political landscape in South Dakota often overlooks the nuances of our communities. From the Black Hills to the eastern farmlands, there is a growing demand for representation that prioritizes working families over corporate interests. We are building a movement centered on equity, sustainability, and justice.
One of our core pillars is the transition to a sustainable economy. South Dakota has immense potential for wind and solar energy development. By investing in green infrastructure, we can create high-paying jobs, reduce our carbon footprint, and ensure energy independence. This transition must be equitable — ensuring that rural and tribal communities are active participants and beneficiaries of the renewable energy boom.
Healthcare access remains a critical issue. Expanding Medicaid and protecting reproductive rights are non-negotiable aspects of our platform. We advocate for comprehensive healthcare solutions that address physical, mental, and reproductive health for every South Dakotan.
We recognize the inherent sovereignty of the tribal nations within our borders. True progress requires meaningful consultation, respect for treaty rights, and collaborative efforts to address systemic inequalities.
